inner circle and successful leaders

According to John C. Maxwell ….

A leaders potential is determined by those closest to him.
If those people are strong then the leader can make a huge impact… If they are weak, he can’t.

Ask yourself, who is in your inner circle? If you’re not succeeding is it because of the people who are around you on a daily or weekly basis?

I’ve seen both sides of the spectrum. Often times I see examples of good leaders who have a stellar team by their side. Every now and then I see teams who have good leaders yet the inner circle teams lack a certain ability to align well with the leader.

If a team isn’t succeeding what is the reason? I’ve thought about this for the past few months.
What I realized is that there are so many things that have to be taken into account.

All of these things are covered in John C. Maxwell’s book ” 21 irrefutible laws of Leadership. ”

Is it because the leader doesn’t have influence over his followers?

Is it because the leader has a hard time setting out a proper plan for the team?

Is it because the leaders inner circle isn’t as strong as it can be?

Some interesting questions to think about.
